Border Morris comes from the borders of Wales and England. It is characterised by its vigorous style with clashing sticks and swirling rag coats. Top hats are worn, individually decorated according to the owner's preference, although flowers and feathers are typical. Some dances are named after the village where they originated, such as Brimfield or Upton on Severn, but we also have dances we have developed ourselves and named to reflect local links, such as Dr Johnson's Revenge and Titanic.
Audience participation is often a part of our Border displays, although celebrity participants are a rarer event!
